In the year 2000, Bani Relocation Elementary School (BRES) emerged as a beacon of hope and opportunity for families displaced by the establishment of the coal-fired thermal plant in Barangay Bani. The National Power Corporation (NAPOCOR) took the initiative to establish this educational institution, recognizing the importance of education in empowering the community.

Strategically located at the heart of the Resettlement Area in Sitio Tugue, Brgy Taltal, Masinloc, Zambales, BRES stands approximately 5 km northwest of Masinloc town proper. The school’s presence in this Relocation Area ensures that education remains accessible to the residents of Sitio Tugue, Barangay Taltal, and the children of displaced families in Barangay Bani.

Encompassing a generous land area of 26,228 square meters, BRES provides a spacious and nurturing environment for learning and growth. As an institution committed to providing a complete elementary education, BRES caters to students from Kindergarten to Grade 6, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary for their academic journey.

While classified under the Small School Category, BRES proudly accommodates 237 enthusiastic learners in the current school year of 2022-2023. This would not be possible without the dedicated team of 13 school personnel, including eight permanent teachers, one School Principal, three Learning Facilitators, one Utility Worker, and one Security Guard, all of whom are funded by the Local School Board. Their unwavering dedication ensures that the students receive the support they need to thrive academically and personally.

BRES’s physical infrastructure is designed to facilitate a comprehensive educational experience. The school boasts three buildings, comprising nine well-appointed classrooms that serve as vibrant hubs of learning. Additionally, BRES houses a computer room, a Principal’s Office, a Reading Center, a Canteen, and a multi-purpose covered court, offering ample opportunities for students to explore their interests and engage in extracurricular activities.

As Bani Relocation Elementary School embarks on another year of operation, it celebrates its legacy of resilience and progress. The school community, driven by a shared vision of excellence and empowerment, remains committed to providing quality education and fostering a sense of belonging among its students.

Looking ahead, BRES will continue to embrace new challenges, adapt to emerging educational trends, and prioritize the holistic development of its learners.
